पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांना कृषी क्षेत्रातील योगदानाबद्दल इटलीचा प्रतिष्ठेचा Agricola Medal पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आला. यावर उपमुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे यांनी प्रतिक्रिया देत, मोदी सरकारने शेतकऱ्यांसाठी केलेल्या कामांचं कौतुक केलं.
2014 पासून शेतकऱ्यांसाठी विविध योजना, कृषी उत्पादनवाढ आणि कोविड काळात अन्नसुरक्षेसाठी घेतलेल्या निर्णयांमुळे भारताची जागतिक स्तरावर प्रतिष्ठा वाढल्याचं शिंदे म्हणाले. FAO कडून मिळालेला हा सन्मान देशासाठी अभिमानास्पद असल्याचंही त्यांनी नमूद केलं.
